A Good Read
We went to the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art last week. I love that one. It is attached to the National Portrait Gallery and they are two of my favorites in the city. At the bookshop, I found a new treasure that I've been reading a bit at a time. It is a collection of essays by Robert Adams and published by Aperture Foundation. I found a quote that I already love, mostly because it helps me both explain my love of photography and simultaneously justify my lack of ambition to jump in with both feet and become a Professional Photographer. :o)
That makes me happy.Photographers "may or may not make a living by photography," he writes, "but they are alive by it."
